A Boundless Drop To A Boundless Ocean

These films are presented as part of programming related to the exhibition, “A Boundless Drop to a Boundless Ocean.”  A collaboration between the Orlando Museum of Art and the American University in Cairo, “A Boundless Drop to a Boundless Ocean” presents artworks by 21 US-based artists of Arab and Iranian heritage. Curated by Dr. Shiva Balaghi, with support from Coralie Claeysen-Gleyzon, the exhibition will be on view in galleries at OMA and AUC’s Tahrir Cultural Center from January 29 through May 2, 2021.  These films released by Docunight consider the lives and works of two of the artists featured in the show, Huguette Caland and Monir Shahroudy Farmanfarmaian.  Films will be available to watch through February 14.

Films in this series include: “Huguette Caland: Outside the Lines” (directed by L’Or Iman Puymartin, 2019, 27 mins) and “Monir” (directed by Bahman Kiarostami, 2015, 54 minutes).
